Life

Foundational
Value

What is Life:

Life is a Value; more so, the Appreciation and Respect for Life.

Some ask, “well what is life anyways?”

It’s a simple answer: Life is living matter in this world and spiritual in the next.  In this world we know life as it evolves through reproduction, mutation and change, and as it favors natural selection.  Life is growth, vigorous, through cycles of development from conception, to birth, to maturity, to death.   Our physical life is a Gift from God.  It provides us with a matrix for our Soul to express itself, and grow and mature.

In the next life, beyond this world, life is the grace and the image of God that he has carefully gifted into our eternal Souls. “Spiritual Life”, is ultimately the most exceptional; even though most people’s majority understanding is their physical mortal life. All Life on our planet is important.

Life is sacred, as it is a purposeful creation. Life is precious, as it can be easily squandered and lost; physically or spiritually.

Examples of Life:

Life is about Breathing, Life is about Growing, Life is about Learning, Adapting, and Surviving. Our obligation is to respect, protect, and grow Life.

Examples of Life are numerable:

  • The Plants, Trees, Fish, Insects, Birds, Bees, Dogs, Cats, Elephants, Zebra, and on and on.

  • The Ecosystems in our Forests, the Artic, the Antarctic, the Sky, the Oceans, the Lakes and Ponds.

  • Humanity.  The birth of a Baby, and the glory, the sacredness of a Baby’s Life.  A child’s Life, A teenagers Life, a Parent’s Life, a Grandparent’s Life.  All are magnificent and extraordinary.

  • Souls.  Which We Essentially Are, and the More We shall become, if we Awaken in time.

Anti-Value: Killing

Killing is the opposite of Life.

The opposite of embracing Life is Death through Killing; the willful destruction of Life, the senseless spilling of blood.

Killing is a brutal act, a savage act: for it denies a “life entity” it’s unique opportunity to grow, learn and mature.

In the Infinity of Time, to deny a precious life it’s special opportunity,  is an especially cruel and barbarous act.

People who Kill, especially for greedy or self-absorbed reasons, are particularly contemptible.  People who destroy our environment, People who willfully Abort their child, People who Murder, People who create Wars, People who develop and sell deadly weapons, People who take pleasure or gain from the destruction of other peoples physical or spiritual lives; are all guilty of Killing.

Biblical References of Life:

  • John 11:25: Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live”

  • John 5:24:  “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.”

  • Jeremiah 1:5:  “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”

  • Exodus 23:7:  “Keep far from a false charge, and do not kill the innocent and righteous, for I will not acquit the wicked.”

  • Matthew 5:21:  “You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not murder; and whoever murders will be liable to judgment.”
