Faith
Foundational
Value
What is Faith:
Faith is the willful, sustaining belief one has in a single God, a God of Love, the God of
Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, Moses, David, and Jesus Christ, his Son.
Faith is the belief one has in God’s Loving Purpose for Yourself and Humanity, and the unshakable constancy of that Belief.
One demonstrates their Belief, and therefore the strength of their Faith, by learning God’s teachings, and then living them in both thought and deed. Faith is revealed through a person’s words or their silence; through their actions, or restraint; through their respectful consideration of All Life.
The quality of our engagement with each other and our planet, defines the character or our soul and the vibrancy of Our Love for God.
Throughout our lives, the “tenor” of Our Faith will be challenged by the Devil, as he seeks to ensnare our Souls. Yet a Live Faith will keep us Strong, a Live Faith will keep us Diligent, a Live Faith will Save us.
To be clear, Faith is not believing in multiple gods, or the mystical, or the occult, or science, or just man. It is not about worshiping a statue, or a rat, or a cow. It is not about killing infidels or beheading people.
Faith is about glorifying God, who is both transcendent to and immanent within Humankind.
Faith is the steadfast belief, and holistic Love humankind expresses in their One and only God above, the Alpha and Omega, the source of all that is good and worthy of human pursuit.
Faith is seeking God, and inviting God into our minds, our hearts, and most importantly our souls. Through Faith, we find a restoration of our relationship back to God; and a path to salvation from sin and death.
Faith is conviction to the Truth; and reflecting that Truth in how we conduct ourselves throughout our lives with Love and Compassion, with all the Foundational Values active in how we engage the world around us. That is how one Glorifies God.
The Foundational Values are a great beginning to Faith, and can well lead You to a Deeper relationship with God.
The Learning of the Values, the Awakening of them in your Heart and Mind, is intended to Help You discern God and Grace at a Deeper Level in Your Life.
We Hope, You will have a fresh spark in Your Faith and pursue “Continuous Learning” and Self Improvement in Your-Life-Forward.
Enriching Your Understanding of Faith in God through more self-reflection; more study; more living the examples; more unshakable Belief in a God of Love, Purpose, and Forgiveness …
is Our Most Fervent Hope.
We Encourage You in everyway, to Pursue a Continuation of Your “Learning Journey” through reading the Bible, engaging with Like-Minded People, by attending a Church Service. A greater Depth of Understanding and Belief Awaits You.
Examples of Faith:
-
A wonderful example of someone who has distinguished herself throughout an entire lifetime of devoted Faith, with the Courage to selflessly serve others, with decades of Perseverance, Patience, and the purest of Love is Elisabeth Elliot
-
A Missionary who inspired generations of Evangelical Christians by returning to Ecuador with her toddler daughter to preach the Gospel to the Indian tribe that had killed her husband. She passed away in June of 2015 at her home in Gloucester, Mass. She was 88.
-
“There is nothing worth living for, unless it is worth dying for.”
-
-
A great example of Faith, is the human being who humbly accepts God into his heart; who believes not because of miracles of proof, but due to their own personal focus of will and their decision to accept the Glory and Love of God into their Soul and into their Life for All Eternity.
All are Called and Welcomed to the Truth.
It’s up to each of us to answer that call.
Anti-Value: Atheism
Atheism is the opposite of Faith.
The Opposite of Faith is Atheism, or Non Belief in God, or any divinity. Atheism is the most empty, desolate, hopeless belief system any human being can consider. Atheism is a conscious, willful decision to deny the meaning or existence of God, and instead, glorifies man. One who chooses to follow an Atheistic belief, or an Agnostic belief, or a “secular” belief, makes a personal decision to deny God in their life, and correspondingly in their culture. The Atheist is accountable only to themself, as they believe any moral standard is relative to them and them alone. The Atheist seeks to push God out and Man in. For that reason, Atheism has created some of the most hateful human beings in our history, with devastating results to life and culture.
To openly choose to deny God and God’s Love in one’s life, is to open up a chasm, a gulf, a vacuum; where Good is pushed out, and evil is drawn in. Atheism inevitably brings into human existence manifold confusion, deception, pride, agitation, dishonesty, misdirection, darkness and ultimately Death.
-
A communist, a devout Atheist, and leader of the Republic of China beginning around World War II, Mao Zedong was a ruler who personally oversaw the murder, killing, and starving of over 26 million people.
-
Adolf Hitler, an Atheist, occult enthusiast, national socialist, started World War II and killed over 20 million people, as well as, ruined and maimed the lives of countless other millions.
-
Joseph Stalin, a communist, and leader of Russia, is directly responsible for having killed between 40 and 60 million people during the early to mid 20th Century. And yes, he was a dedicated Atheist.
Faith is Under Siege
In our present day, the Atheist, who comes under many different names and deceptive titles, is actively attempting to destroy Religion and erode the Values of Good, the Foundational Values, which support Faith and shape a moral world.
Faith is Under siege.
Atheists, Agnostics, Secular Progressives, Marxists, and others who have no God in their hearts or minds, actively deride those with Faith and seek to undermine their expression of belief and religion within national and local communities. The faithless, nonbelievers’ derision is meant to marginalize and destroy the cultural respect society will have of the Faithful. The nonbeliever’s intent is to suffocate and extinguish the Love of God from our human conscience. By so doing, they think they can replace God with human reason alone; or science and mathematics, or relative humanism.
The faithless have corrupted our communications and educational system over the past years to gain control of the messages and content of what we hear or read or see in literature, movies, news, television, music, and the arts. The Atheists aim is to push God out, to silence the Values we are seeking to Awaken In You. In their place, the faithless slide in their Anti-Values and dishonest attempt to glorify man instead of God.
If you look, you will see their dirty hands at work.
If you listen, you will hear their vengeful screed.
In Our Lives, by Awakening the Foundational Values in Ourselves, Our Children, Our Communities … We can affirm the rightful place of God and Belief in the world, as it should be.
Biblical References of Faith:
-
John 14:6: Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me”
-
John 14:15: “If you love Me, keep My commandments”
-
Mark 11:22-24: And Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God. Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”
-
James 2:14-18: “What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that? So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.”
